Prof. Claude Guet
Biography
Claude Guet is currently a Visiting Professor at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His career has developed mainly at the French CEA (Atomic Energy Commission), where he has held several senior positions, including Senior Advisor to the CEO, Chief of Staff to the High Commissioner for Atomic Energy, Director of Nuclear Education and Training, Chief Scientist of the Defence Division, and Head of the Department of Theoretical Physics within the Defence Division.
At NTU, which he joined in 2012, he has been instrumental in establishing several partnerships between NTU and France, including the Joint Research Centres SCARCE and SAFE.
He holds a Doctorat d’État from Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble. His research over the past 40 years has focused on quantum many-body physics and semiclassical approximations applied to nuclear, atomic, and plasma physics, as well as nanophysics. More recently, he has engaged in research on machine learning for dynamical systems and nonlinear fluid mechanics.
He has authored or co-authored more than 140 peer-reviewed papers, with over 8,300 citations and an H-index of 43.
