Biography

Dr. Zhangsheng Huang is a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Plasma Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on the theory of turbulence and transport in magnetically confined plasmas. His work examined how three-dimensional magnetic perturbations and finite plasma pressure affect the instability of collisionaless trapped-electron mode and ion-temperature-gradient mode. He has also studied the coupling between magnetic islands, microturbulence, and electron internal transport barriers. His current interests include nonlinear plasma turbulence, zonal flows, momentum transport, and the role of finite-ion-temperature effects in reduced plasma models.
